Pricing for custom items
will be estimated and offered via email for your
approval. I will make every effort to obtain materials
exactly to suit your needs. If those materials are unavailable
or are more costly than anticipated I will resubmit an updated
estimate.
Payment Options
I accept credit
cards via Paypal, money orders and personal checks. I gladly
accept personal checks, however, there will be a $30 fee for all
returned checks. I will not start making your items until your
check arrives and the product will not ship until the check has
cleared. Please take this into account when placing orders that need
to be delivered quickly. Paying by check can delay the turn around
time on your order by as much as a week or more.
Quality
Materials:
All of my jewelry is made using the
highest quality materials. You can choose to use
sterling silver, hand crafted Bali silver,
gold-filled beads and vermeil for all of the metal components in
your jewelry. Karat gold is available upon request. All
crystals are Swarovski Austrian Crystals and all pearls are
Swarovski Crystal Pearls or genuine fresh water pearls. Strung
items are made using 49-strand stainless steel cable that is
very strong but still drapes like string or with a very strong
thread designed for upholstery applications. Your item may "relax"
slightly after wearing it a few times.
Sterling
Silver: Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver (.925) metal.
This standard is used to assure consistent quality among sterling
products.
Bali
Beads: Bali Beads are .925 or
better sterling silver. Bali silver beads,
in a myriad of intricate designs, are expertly hand-made by
Indonesian silver crafters.
Gold Filled:
Gold-filled beads have a surface layer of gold which is very thick
compared to rolled gold plate or the heaviest electroplate ("gold
plated") materials. Gold-filled items are very durable. The gold
layer will not wear off, as it may in plated
products.
Vermeil: Vermeil is made by
bonding 24kt gold onto sterling silver.
Swarovski
Crystals: Swarovski Crystal is
the finest cut crystal bead product on the market. Each bead is
machine-faceted, optically pure, 32% lead crystal with facets that
have brilliance and sparkle unmatched by other crystal
beads.
Care and
Handling:
Please treat your custom
made piece as you would any other fine jewelry. Please do not
wear it while showering, swimming or cleaning. Chemicals can tarnish
the silver and damage the jewelry.
Sterling silver will
tarnish if you leave it exposed for a period of time. It can also
change color from being exposed to perspiration, oils from your
skin, chlorine, and humidity. If you need to remove tarnish, we
recommend using a cloth designed for polishing silver. However,
excessive rubbing with the cloth could remove some of the oxidation
on the bead (the dark spots) so try and polish only the raised parts
of the bead for the best finish. Do not use jewelry cleaner fluid as
this will remove the distinctive black 'antiquing' on the Bali
beads. The crystals can be cleaned using a soft brush and mild soap
and water mixture. Rinse thoroughly and let dry
completely.
For best results, store your silver jewelry in a
cool, dry place, such as in a sealed bag. This will help prevent
both tarnishing and scratching by other pieces.
What if it
breaks?
In the unlikely event your handmade
jewelry should break within your first 30 days of ownership, I
will repair or replace it for free. If your item is
broken or needs repaired after 30 days of ownership, there is
a repair charge (to be negotiated at the time of the
repair), plus the cost of shipping. If beads are lost, I will make
every effort to replace them with identical beads. If this is not
possible, I will contact you to discuss your options. Please email
me to make arrangements to have your jewelry sent back for
repairs, I will provide you with all necessary information on how to
ship your item, etc. Please allow up to two weeks for repairs to
be completed and your item returned to you.
I
want you to be completely satisfied with your order. Taking time to
measure accurately and recheck your order will help insure this.
Please feel free to communicate any special requests to me at
the time of your order and don't hesitate to ask questions. I
can usually accommodate your needs and special requests.
Return Policy
My products are custom
made, personalized items made specifically for you. They are
returnable for workmanship or quality issues only. In the event that
a refund becomes necessary, I reserve the right to withhold a
portion of the cost for time and labor.
Photos:
In order to
expand my portfolio, I will be photographing each piece that
I
make and reserve the right to post them on my site, and use
them as prototype pieces, etc.
If you would prefer that I
not use your photo for a specific time period (until you give it as
a gift for example) please communicate that to me. I'd hate to ruin
a surprise. :)
